Blessed and Chose Mime Ministry History

Blessed and Chosen Mime Ministry was established in 1998 under the leadership of Artistic Director/Choreographer Cornell Brownfield; and currently assisted by Don'Tazha Kelly, and Cameron Jackson. The ministry was created by a small group of family and friends in search of a way to serve Christ on a level they can all relate, and it turned out to be ministering through spiritual mime. The mime ministry is located at Payne Chapel AME Church in Duquesne, PA which is currently under the leadership of Rev. Christina D. Reed, Pastor.
 
Blessed and Chosen is made up of people from all over the City of Pittsburgh from ages five and up. The ministry is not just limited to members of Payne Chapel AME Church but consists of members from different churches, communities, and other artistic groups. Blessed and Chosen ministry is always looking for new ways to make a difference within the City of Pittsburgh and local City of Duquesne. When available, they are active doing volunteer projects, community service projects, outreach programs, and are supportive of nonprofit organizations in the surrounding community.

God has given Blessed and Chosen the gifts and blessings to minister not only in the Pittsburgh area, but across Pennsylvania and some surrounding states.  A few members have even had the opportunity to minister outside of the country. As this ministry continues to grow, our mission is to spread the gospel no matter the occasion, and always give God the Glory. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
